Reading Pride 2019

Me and my boyfriend Mark, had a fantastic day at Reading Pride 2019. I'm so proud we could celebrate our love together and walk hand in hand through Reading! It was also great to be able to represent the company we work for, and show the world that our employer supports LGBTQ rights.

Walking through Broad Street, the main shopping street in Reading it was great to see so many bystanders supporting the pride march, and showing their support for LGBTQ rights. Me and my boyfriend hope to attend more pride events over the coming years, as we thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Showing my Gay Pride

Some of you will know that I am gay, and will have seen photos of my with my partner, complete with me carrying my "man bag" which has a few gay pin badges on the bags strap. I thought I'd share with you what the badges meaning is, and what they mean to me.

The first badge I got in Polo Ralph Lauren for making a donation to the LGBTQ charity Stonewall, and it represents the fact that I am gay and happy to show the world I am an LGBTQ+ supporter.

The second badge is a Pride badge from the London Transport Museum, and includes black and brown stripes which shows support within the LGBTQ+ community for people of colour.

The third badge is the male symbol, and the 2 on this badge symbolise that I am a gay male in a gay relationship with my partner, something I am very happy to be in and proud of.

The fourth badge is a Christian cross symbol, which symbolises that I am a Gay Christian, and proud to tell the world that, even if it means that I upset other Christians, who think being Gay is wrong because the Bible supposedly says so.

London with Mark

Recently I took a trip to London to see Pink, with my boyfriend Mark.

Here is a picture of my and my boyfriend Mark outside Wembley Stadium waiting to go in and see Pink's Beautiful Trauma World Tour 2019.

The photo below is us in the Stadium

While there we enjoyed looking around London, hunting for Gay Pride themed shops, Tube Stations, Pride Flags etc. Here is a photo of us taken at the Pride photo booth in Polo Ralph Lauren.

I'm really pleased that me and Mark are "brave to be our true selves" and can be out and proud in our capital city!

What also pleased me is the the transport authority for London - TfL has put some "LGBTQ+" roundels in some of the Tube & DLR stations etc.

and also that some retailers have changed their logo to the Gay Pride colours

I think it would be great if more retailers supported Pride and LGBTQ+ rights, and even more great if  more LGBTQ+ people were able to express who they really are

I apologise that I haven't posted on this blog in a while but thought it was time I introduced you to my gorgeous boyfriend Mark. I'm so proud that we can be who we are, in love together and out & proud together.

As far as I'm concerned, everyone has the right to be who they are and love who they want,  regardless of what others think, & as far as I am concerned nobody tells me who I can & can't love etc. I hope to share more of my life with my boyfriend, on my blog, as well as all the other things I post about.
