Get Firefox

I have been reading some interesting articles on the internet, suggesting that Microsoft is trying to define the way forward for internet sites, through people using Internet Explorer. This is not good, as on any non Windows based computer, you cannot run Internet Explorer and could therefore miss out viewing your favourite website just because you can't run Internet Explorer, and the designer of that website has not made it compatible with your favourite browser.

What people need to start doing is downloading and using Firefox (or Opera, Safari etc) to browse the internet. Once people start doing this they will join the growing number of internet users, who want to have a say in how they view the internet, rather than follow the Microsoft way of doing things.

I recently found a good website www.explorerdestroyer.com/ that has a great script that can be added to webpages, telling Internet Explorer users they should install Firefox. I have decided that this is a good idea, and am now getting serious about persuading users to switch to Firefox, or another browser, for a better internet experience. This means that when you visit my site in Internet Explorer, you get a screen coming up that tells you that Internet Explorer is not fully compatible with this website, and that you should switch to Firefox, giving a download link. I do not go as far as some users, who stop Internet Explorer users viewing their site, as this is not fair on the user, especially if there PC is only allowed to run Internet Explorer.

If you have not installed Firefox, visit www.mozilla.com and install Firefox today. Alternatively install another alternative to Internet Explorer such as www.opera.com
