Going to the Gym
Recently I have been going to the Gym, with the aim of getting fitter. Took the plunge today and decided to do 10 minutes on the treadmill, making the first 5 minutes walking at a good pace and the last 5 minutes jogging. All in all I ended up going a distance of 990meters, according to the treadmill, which for me, as I'm in the early stages of exercising, is very good, especially as I found doing a 5 minute jog very tough - I'm guessing it will get better as I do more exercise.

Tim Hawkins on Hand Raising
This is a great comedy video that explains hand raising in more "evangelical churches". Made me chuckle when I watched it for the first time.

Ecover Ocean Plastic Project
I enjoy using Ecover & Method household cleaning produtcs, and this is a great idea from Ecover, hopefully it catches on, as it's a great way to help protect the environment!

Passbook
Have recently had the pleasure of using Apple iOS app Passbook. However I've noticed one failing that there are not enough UK apps using it. However the apps it does have look great, and i've enjoyed using 2 of them - Subway & Starbucks.
Subway's app is great as it enables you to leave your Subcard at home and use your phone to collect and spend your reward points as well as find your nearest Subway.
Starbucks' app is even better, as you can use it to pay for your order, earn your reward stars, top up your card and find a branch. Even better is that when your phone arrives at one of your favourite Starbucks, (which you have already specified in your app) your home screen lets you know and you just swipe your finger across to bring your Starbucks' card to pay.
I wonder what other uses Passbook could have, perhaps loyalty cards for other retailers, perhaps a bank card for amounts under £20. Hopefully more and more app designers will add passbook to their apps.

Ricky Martin - HOORAY! HOORAY! [It's a Holi-Holiday]
Interesting cover version of Boney M's Hooray! Hooray! It's a Holi-Holiday sung in Spanish and English. This is much better than some of the cover versions of this track out there, and does the song justice. Great to see that another artist has recognised how good Boney M. songs are.

Cafedirect arrive on Nespresso
While shopping in a local supermarket last week I noticed that Cafedirect the 100% Fairtrade drinks manufacturer has released coffee pods that work with the Nespresso machine - http://www.cafedirect.co.uk/our-products/coffee/coffee-pods/. I bought a pack of Espresso Vivo and enjoyed it so much I'll be drinking it on a regular basis! It's great to finally see Fairtrade coffee pods on sale in the UK, giving Nespresso users an ethical choice as to how their coffee is sourced.
I also noticed that that Mondelez have released their Carte Noire Nespresso pods to the UK market, which to my mind brings the time even close when a good range of Nespresso compatible pods are on sale in the UK, just like there already is in France - many French supermarkets stock at least 3-4 brands of Nespresso compatible capsules.
Hopefully next to arrive in the UK marketplace will be Douwe Egberts/Maison du Cafe with their L'Or Espresso pods as they have a fantastic range of Nespresso coffee. It would also be good if Ethical Coffee Company pods arrived as well, as the plant based materials the pod is made out of is great for the environment due to it's biodegradability! and the coffee contained within the pods is fantastic as well - Inca Soave is a great Fairtrade espresso.
