Eruption featuring Precious Wilson

It's great to finally have on CD the first studio album from Eruption - Eruption featuring Precious Wilson. I really enjoy the music of Eruption - whilst they hail from the same producer Frank Farian, they have a different sound to Boney M. who he was producing at the same time.

This CD features all 10 tracks from the original album, plus 5 bonus tracks, 2 of which are tracks from Eruption's early years, and the US 12" version of Party Party. All in all it is a great CD to listen to and features some classic tracks, including I Can't Stand The Rain, Computer Love & Party Party.

I'm now looking forward to purchasing Eruption's 2nd album on CD - Leave A Light. Hopefully it's as good as this one.

Last Nights Dinner

Thought I would try and cook  something new for dinner last night and settled on penne pasta with chicken and pesto.

The dish was surprisingly easy to cook and tasted great, so it's become something I'll cook again!

Bluetooth Headphones

Just bought a pair of Mixx Secure Fit White bluetooth headphones.- now I can listen to the music on my Apple Watch so finally I can listen to the music stored on my Apple Watch, without any long headphone cables getting in the way.

There are only 2 downsides with these headphones:
1 - On my iPhone I can see the battery level of any bluetooth device that is paired with the iPhone
2 - The Micro USB charging cable that comes with these headphones is very short - like many other devices sold these days - something that perhaps manufacturers could address.

George Baker Selection - Una Paloma Blanca

This is the promo video for a great pop music track from the seventies - Una Paloma Blanca by the Dutch group George Baker Selection.  I really enjoy listening to this track, and it's becoming one of my favourite songs. This video is shot in a great location and really adds to the track.

Apple Watch

I recently purchased an Apple Watch, and while I think it is an excellent device there are a few things that I would change about it:

  • I would add Find my iPhone support, as currently this does not work with the watch. I would have thought that this would be an essential tool to build in to the watch so that if by accident it falls of your wrist, you can disable it.
  • WiFi updating - I understand that the watch can be connected to WiFi networks that your iPhone has connected to, therefore it would be good if the watch could update your weather data, stocks, news etc when your iPhone is not on - I'm sure many people would welcome this feature as i'm sure there are times when most people can't have their phone on etc.
  • More customisable watch faces and the ability to add more information to some watch faces - I have used the Time-lapse and Photo Album watch faces, yet unlike other faces I'm unable to add info such as current weather, moon phase etc.
  • The ability to answer a phone call and transfer it to a bluetooth headset - it's possible to answer a phone call on your watch and transfer it to the phone, so why not to your bluetooth headset.

  • Having had the watch for over a month now, I can't think of anything else I would change at the moment, but that might change in the future.

    Formula 1 on Terrestrial Television.

Just been reading on the internet that Sky have secured an exclusive deal to show live Formula 1 races for 5 years from 2019. I've enjoyed watching Formula 1 for over 20 years on terrestrial television,  and am really saddened by the decision of the sport to switch to a channel where you have to pay to watch it. Therefore it would appear that from 2019, unless the sport has a change of heart,  I will no longer be watching Formula 1 as I have no desire to pay to watch it.
